“Getting On with James Urbaniak” has joined the Feral Audio family of podcasts. (The great Sara Pocock did my page’s illustration.) I now rub shoulders with such Feral Audio stars as Todd Barry, Chelsea Peretti, Steve Agee, Erin McGathy, Dan Harmon and Duncan Trussell. Please enjoy the monthly scripted audio drama that the AV Club said “demands and rewards careful attention” and that once gave notable comedian Paul F. Tompkins a “driveway moment.”
So, the Amy’s Baking Company blog is offering free cupcake coupons to their supporters. Aight, cool. Trying to save face, I get that. Here’s an example, looks pretty tasty.
But wait, this looks a little familiar. I remember the turd-icing from somewhere else, I think. Let’s…
I am becoming obsessed with this crazy lady. I’ve watched the episode of Kitchen Nightmares 3 times.
Me: what’s your favorite kind of cake?
4yr old daughter: Lots
Here’s the full Kitchen Nightmares episode of the Amy’s Baking Company disaster. This is your internet homework if you haven’t seen it already. I’m serious. You have to watch this. You just HAVE to.
Go make some popcorn, queue this up when you get a good 40 minutes free, and enjoy.
I’ve watched it twice. It’s totally worth it

Several years ago, when my niece was still an infant, we went out for brunch with the family. At the time I wasn’t particularly interested in babies anyway, but I also was just getting over a cold and felt like crap.
I refused a couple if times to hold the baby and just said I didn’t want to get her sick.
At one point, my brother walked up behind me while I was talking to someone and plopped the baby on my lap AND LET GO. I either had to grab the baby or let her fall on the floor. It was the most obnoxious parenting I’d ever seen.
I can’t find the original source, but it’s too good not to share.
